Message from Hacker Dermatology -March 20, 2020

I hope this message finds you well during this very difficult time. I wanted to ensure that our patient’s know that our practice remains available for clinical care and is committed to our patients’ dermatologic well-being.

As a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the following changes will occur starting Monday, March 23rd:

  1. For our non-surgical dermatology and podiatry patients, we will be converting our practice to a Telemedicine model (video visits) to safeguard your well-being as well as that of our doctors and staff. These telemedicine/video visits can be done in the comfort of your own home on your Android/iOS device (iPhone) or computer or laptop after signing up to our office’s patient portal. Telemedicine is a video visit similar to an office visit. However, now instead of traveling to see your doctor you can video conference with them from your home. Our providers can assess symptoms, make a diagnosis, recommend treatment, and send prescriptions electronically to your pharmacy.
  2. For non-emergent patients currently on our schedule, our staff will be calling those patients on the schedule, to confirm your appointment and to make sure we have the correct email so that we can send you a password to log in to our patient portal.
  3. For our cancer related patients,
    1. Essential Surgery for Cancer patients- we will be determining which cases should not be delayed and treat those patients. Mohs surgery, if essential, will take place on Wednesday mornings and non-Moh’s essential surgeries will be performed on Monday mornings (subject to staff availability).
    2. Superficial radiation for cancer patients- we will be open to complete your radiation on Monday and Wednesday mornings only (subject to staff availability). We will not be starting any new radiation patients.
  4. For all emergencies, wound checks and suture removals, we are here for you and will schedule accordingly.
  5. For our cosmetic patients, we will be delaying and rescheduling all cosmetic procedures such as fillers, Botox, and peels and esthetician patients until further notice. Also, all elective medically unnecessary procedures will be delayed and rescheduled.
  6. For all of our out of state patients, we are here for you as well. You may see our doctors via telemedicine from where you are by simply requesting an appointment online or calling us at 561.276.3111.
  7. For all new patients residing anywhere in Florida, that need a telemedicine appointment, you may hit “Book Appointment” or call our office at 561.276.3111 and if we do not accept your insurance, payment for the visit can be made via credit card. For self pay patients , the cost of a telemedicine visit with our doctors is $79.00.

Please always give us your active email on any communication so we can send you an invitation to our telemedicine portal. DO NOT FORGET TO CHECK YOUR SPAM OR JUNK MAIL FOR EMAILS FROM OUR OFFICE SO YOU DON’T MISS THE CLIENT PORTAL INVITATION.

Our top priority right now is the health and welfare of our patients and staff. We appreciate your patience in advance as we transition to telemedicine.
